A Vinyl Composite Tile (VCT) is the flooring surface that is most often stripped and waxed
- Waxing, finishing or polishing are preparation coatings that create the finished appearance. Finishes provide additional protection against soil abrasion and scratching. 2-5 coats may be specified by the manufacturer and/or the end user.
- Spray buffing is a maintenance procedure used to remove daily wear and tear and restore luster to the surface.
- Floor stripping and waxing techniques require different machines.
- If the proper procedures, strippers, and finishes are not used, the job may fail, yellow or only look better for a short time.
- Always follow the manufacturer’s guidelines

- Not all hard surfaces should be covered with finishes.

What is the cost of Stripping & Waxing Floors?
The cost to strip and wax floors can run from 2.00 sq/ft to $3.00 sq/ft. The price is determined by the condition of the floor surface, the surface type, the type of finish to be reapplied and the amount of equipment or furnishings needed to moved and the time of day that it can be serviced.
Lets take a look at the differences between Acrylic and polyurethane Finishes:

CAcrylic Finish
- Is far less durable than Polyurethane.
- will wear and yellow after short periods of time.
- Is less expensive.
- Requires more interim and restorative maintenance.
Acrylic requires a chemical stripper to remove ( Water +VOC’s)
Polyurethane Finish
- Is more durable.
- Can last up to 5 years with preventative(dust mop and vacuuming) and scheduled maintenance (low or high speed burnishing).
- The time in between stripping and re-finishing greatly reduces restoration costs and down time in your space.
- Most manufacturers are suggesting this for their products immediately after installation.
- Requires mechanical abrasion to remove (No water- No harsh odor)

Outstanding experience! From estimates to completion of the job, it was frictionless and they did a great job. We had some old urine spots from our pups and when they showed us with the UV light we were blown away.We have been shampooing our rugs and cleaning using enzyme cleaners and nothing really gets the smell out.We’ll now the house is finally back to smelling fresh and clean without any wierd lingering odors.Highly recommend!
OMG!!!! The transformation of my floors are amazing! I never thought they would ever look like new again. I thought I hated the tile because of the dirt that acquired through the years. I have had multiple companies come in for a quote and say the only way to restore the tile is to regrout. Pablo came in and provided the most common sense advice which was to clean the tile. It’s not cracked why would you regrout? I was still uncertain about his advice but his confidence that he displayed made me choose his company. He was certain he could restore my tile. These guys are wonderful--we experienced our first basement flood just days before Christmas and the fallout was emotional and time consuming. Their scheduling contact (Elise, I think?) was compassionate and patient in walking me through our options and got us on their schedule immediately. Pablo and his team were there the next day and were knowledgeable, professional, and overall did an excellent and thorough job in getting us back in shape. There was a decent price discrepancy between our initial conversations and the onsite estimate but that was understandable given the scope of the job once Pablo saw the damage. He came back multiple times, first to check how it was drying, then again when he decided to do a full second cleaning to be safe, and finally a couple weeks later to touch up some areas. They are experts in what they do and perfectionists in the best way possible! Highly recommend this group for restoration after water damage but I also look forward to using them for whatever life throws at us next.

I'm not sure what I can say to express my gratitude for such a great job on my wall to wall carpet and sofa cleaning. From the first call to after the job was complete, my experience was beyond what I could have hoped for. Folks did not think the carpet was salvageable but they came in person to confirm they could clean them to my satisfaction. Sure enough, they did it! It truly was a minor miracle but they were able to get the off white carpet clean. They were hard working, professional and very attentive. I cannot recommend them more strongly. On Christmas, we had a pipe burst inside our home and had extreme water damage to our family room carpet + couch. We called on the 26th and Alice was SO nice and very helpful. She understood the urgency, sympathized with our situation and was able to get us on the schedule ASAP the same day.Pablo was amazing from the start - so professional and upfront stated there’s not much he could do but get blowers to dry the rug out and spray it with anti bacterial to stop molding from happening. He let us keep the blowers all day/overnight to get the rug dry and it already turned out better. He didn’t charge us for the blowers - all he charged us for was the bacterial products which was great.George helped Pablo with the couch and it turned out impeccable. He got all the water stains off the couch and cleaned it top to bottom. They took their time with the couch, diligently sprayed the rug and the situation turned out great.Would absolutely recommend them to anyone!
